Thai Airways goes against political protesters

Thai Airways, Thailand’s national airline, has filed a civil suit against the political protesters that forced the closing of Bangkok’s airports last year. The protest against former premier Thaksin Shinawatra lead to the closing of Bangkok’s two main airport for nine days at the end of 2008.

The People’s Alliance for Democracy are the organizers of the protests Thai Airways is suing. The airline submitted a complaint against 36 of the PAD members.

The airline is demanding compensation of US$17 in lost revenue.
