The first official test flight of Boeing’s new 787 took place Tuesday at Paine Field in Everett, Washington. The “Dreamliner” should be more energy-efficient, more silent and it should pollute less than the previous models.
Ryanair criticized over safety incident
Ryanair, the biggest no-frills airline in Europe, has been criticized by the Irish Air Accident Investigation Unit for an incident that occured in September, last year. Nine oxigen masks failed to deploy and the cabin crew had to bang on the cockpit to make them come out.

Thai Airways goes against political protesters
Thai Airways, Thailand’s national airline, has filed a civil suit against the political protesters that forced the closing of Bangkok’s airports last year. The protest against former premier Thaksin Shinawatra lead to the closing of Bangkok’s two main airport for nine days at the end of 2008.
