Flight Centre and Etihad charged Souhala Toughlajian,a 78-year old woman, $650 (price after discount) to correct a spelling mistake made on an airline ticket. Because she was born in a non-English speaking country, her name has two different spellings – one on her Lebanese passport (Souhaila Toghlajian) and another on her Australian one (Souhaly Toughlajian). Furthermore, she recommends herself as Souhala Toughlajian.

Japan Airlines requesting bail-out
Strongly hit by the economical recession, Japan Airlines (JAL) asked the government for a bail-out to help them survive. The company’s president, Haruka Nishimatsu, also proposed a drastic restructuring of its operations after meeting with Japan’s minister of transportation. Ryanair charges more for food & drinks than its rivals
It may be a low-cost airline, but Ryanair has the highest prices for on-board food or drinks as compared to other major airlines in Britain or Ireland, a survey conducted by Nowfly shows. It has been revealed that the Dublin-based company charges as much as 50% more for a bottle of mine, 35% more for a cup of coffee or tea and 30% more for its sandwiches than rival airlines such as bmi, Flybe, Monarch Airlines, and easyJet.
